I Can't Get No Stannisfaction
The name's Lanni. I'm a twenty and one spazz that is obsessed with A Song of Ice and Fire, The Walking Dead, The Avengers, Doctor Who, Sherlock, Supernatural, and much more. I'm kind of a bastard, but I make up for it by writing ASOIAF fanfic requests. I'm also getting into TWD fanfiction. If you hate Theon Greyjoy or Catelyn Stark or characters that most people hate, this blog is not for you. Also I routinely liveblog when I watch tv shows and when I'm drunk.

While watching Kick Ass, I was super delighted to hear a lot of music from John Murphy. He’s one of my favorite composers for movie OSTs. In fact, I about flipped out completely when I heard my favorite, “In the House - In a Heartbeat,” (28 Days Later) during the scene where Big Daddy (Nicolas Cage) kills the crap out of everyone in the warehouse.

However, when I was looking for music by Henry Jackson on grooveshark, I found out that he composed the music for Kick Ass. A fact I should’ve known way earlier, but didn’t, so I was a little confused. Then, I found the song “Big Daddy Kills”. So when I clicked on that song, it’s just like a remake of “In the House - In a Heartbeat” - like it sounds damn near the same, just tweaked a little. Kind of like what John Murphy did to it for the 28 Weeks Later theme song.

I don’t know… It just seems like you can’t take a song, change some of the instruments used but make it sound exactly the same, and call it your own. I find this rather distressing.
